a good deal
I have tested this LCD and it is fully Hitachi HD44780 14-pin compatible. All four lines are DDRAM addressable using the following addresses: line 1: 0x00 line 2: 0x40 line 3: 0x14 line 4: 0x54 For the price, this is actually a good deal for a 4 line x 20 character LCD even if it does not have a backlight. The only caviat is that the pin spacing is not standard. not 2.54mm This is a small thing, but worth mentioning.
